CANADIAN SOCCER TEAM WILL TOUR N.Z. NEXT SEASON.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 22. A meeting of the New Zealand Football Association, called for the purpose of discussing and finalising details of the proposed tour of the Canadian soccer team in 1927, has just concluded. Representatives from practically the whole of the associations affiliated with the council express themselves unanimously in favour of the tour taking place. The council placed before the meeting all information relative to estimated costs and receipts of the tour. The cost is estimated at between £7OOO and £SOOO. The team will leave Vancouver by the s.s. Niagara, on May 4, arriving in Auckland on May 23, and leaving Auckland by the Niagara for home on August 2. The team will be in New Zealand for ten weeks, and Australia does not take part in this itinerary, which is as follows: May 23, 1927—Arrive at Auckland. May 25—Wanganui . May 28— Manawatu. June I—Taranaki.1 —Taranaki. June 3—Wellington. June 4 —Wellington. Tune S—Nelson. June 11—Buller. June 15 —Westland. June IS —Otago. Tune 22—Southland. June 25—First test at Dunedin. June 29—Canterbury. July 2—Second test at Christchurch. "July 6—Masterton. July 9—Third test at Wellington. July 13— Napier. July 16—Poverty Bay. July 20 —South Auckland. July 23—Auckland. July 27—North Auckland. Tuly 30 —Fourth test at Auckland. August 2 —Leave Auckland. The council has asked the Canadian Association to agree to playing a match against Marlborough on June 7, in which case the match set. down for June 8 against Nelson will be played on Thursday, June 9. Advices received from Canada state that, the strongest team which has ever represented Canada will be cent to tour New Zealand. The team will eonaiat of eighteen ' players and a manager. An advance agent will be appointed, who will undertake the duty of assisting the secretaries prior to the matches taking place in the various centres.
