PIONEER MARINER DIES AT VANCOUVER
WAS WELL KNOWN IN N.Z. IN SEVENTIES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. " Sydney Sun ” Cable. (Received November 22, 11 a.m.) VANCOUVER, November 21. The death is announced of Mayor Gardiner Johnson, of Vancouver, a piOneer ship captain well known in Australia and New Zealand in the seventies, when he was carrying immigrants to New Zealand. He played in the first cricket match in Vancouver.
