SOMEBODY HAS BEEN GUESSING SAYS MR LOWRY.

(Special to the “ Star.”) NAPIER, November 22. An interesting report has recently been circulated by certain city papers that owing to the English climate not agreeing with his wife’s health, A. P F. Chapman, the celebrated popular young amateur cricketer and captain of the Home team in tests, will be re turning to reside in New Zealand. Mrs Chapman is the daughter of Mr T. H. Lowry, the well-known Hawke’s Bay. sportsman and land owner. Seen in Napier last night, Mr Lowrysaid as far as the family knew there was no truth in the rumour that his son-in-law would come back to New Zealand to live. He said it was a fact that his daughter had ill-health for a while in England, but she went for a fortnight abroad, and since had beetle much better. “Someone - has been guessing,” Mr Lowry said.
