FREEZING WORKS OPEN WITH FREE LABOUR.

Per Press Association. GISBORNE, November 22. The Shcepfarmers’ Freezing Works at Ivaiti opened this morning with seventeen men, including six members of the union, on the boards. No other union labour was available and eleven volunteers were taken on. Plenty' of labour is available to carry on the remainder of the works. Nelson Bros.’ works at Waipaoa also opened with volunteer labour.
