In the House of Commons after the reassembly of Parliament for the autumn session. Sir P. Cunliffe-Lister said that the loss of production since May 1. due to the miners’ strike, was estimated at between £250.000,000 and £300,000,000. It was impossible to estimate the losses due to contingent disturbances in trade. Mr G. R. Lane-Fox announced that 16.-500,000 tons of coal had been imported since May 1.
