WEDDING.

RATT RAY—B RIDGES. A wedding was recently celebrated at St Saviour's Church, Sydenham, when Doris Evelyn, second daughter of Mr and Mrs C. H. Bridges, was married to William Robert, second son of Mr and Mrs R. Rattray, of Papanui. Canon Mutter performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming frock of white satin made on straight lines and trimmed with pearls and finished with a large silk rose at the low waistline. Her fine tulle veil was held in place with a spray of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of arum lilies and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her sister. Miss E. Bridges, who wore a frock of rose-pink satin. Miss R. Howard, cousin of the bridegroom, wore a frock of mauve crepe suede, and Miss D. Rattray wore a frock of cream silk. Each carried a bouquet to tone with her di ess. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr A. B. Rattray,, as best man, and Mr J. Taylor was groomsman. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by Georgie Rattray. The wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents, after which the happy couple left for the north, Mrs W. R. Rattray wearing a frock of rosewood coloured repp cloth with hat to match.
