VICTIM OF ROAD ACCIDENT NAMED. Through the photograph of the little boy which was published in the “Star” last evening, the identity of the woman killed in the motor smash on the Yaldhurst Road when returning from Ficcarton on Saturday evening was established. The woman was the»nvife of Mr Frank Reed, late of Geraldine Having seen the photograph in the “ Star,” Sir John Ashby, of Geraldine, recognised the boy as Donald Reed. He reported this to the police and was taken to the morgue, where he identified Mrs Reed. Mr Reed had been in the employ of Mr Ashby, at Geraldine, until about eight months ago, when he left to come nearer to Christchurch. Mr Ashby did not know Mr Reed's address, but this morning Mr Reed was located by the police.
