TENNIS RANKING MATCHES PLAYED ON UNITED COURTS.
Last night, at the United Club courts, two Canterbury ranking list matches were played. In the first. T. W. Patterson beat K. J. Walker, 6-1, 64. Walker made a great number of errors. This match was for fourth position. For the sixth position on the ladder. J. 11. W. Sheppard played W. R Robinson, and won 1-6, 6-3, 64. Sheppard came to the net with great judgment in the last set. following in his drive to Robinson’s backhand. F. S. Wilding has challenged the loser.
