CITY COUNCIL APPROVES NIGHT TENNIS PROPOSAL.

The possibility of night tennis by lighting courts with electricity (adopted extensively in Australia and elsewhere) is attracting a good deal of attention, stated the Electricity Committee in the course of its report to the City Council last night. The committee recommended that a court be equipped as a demonstration, provided the Canterbury Tennis Association paid for the installation, if satisfactory. The recommendation was approved.
