MEETING OF ST ANNE’S GUILD HELD.
The usual monthly meeting of St Anne’s Guild was held last Friday at Church House, Bishop West-Watson presiding. Present —Mesdames Orbell, Batchelor, Dallas. Roberts, Sister Cath erine and Miss M’llraith, Messrs Ilogg and Rev P Revell. The Bishop briefly welcomed the new’ members of the council and Sister Catherine, who is now in charge of the home. The House Committee reported that, there are fifteen girls at present in the home, one new one having l>een admitted during the month. The committee recommended that the sheds at the back of the house be fitted up so that they* can be used for a laundry. It was estimated that the sum of £IOO would be needed to equip them with tubs, piping, stove, irons, etc. The matter was left for the House Committee to proceed with the work as soon as funds can be obtained. House and Finance Committees were elected for the ensuing year. Mrs Roberts was granted permission to take the girls camping again during January. It was decided to hold the annual Christmas appeal at Church House on the morning of December 14. when kind friends are asked to bring Christmas gifts for the home.
