MORE LIGHT SHED ON LEAGUE TROUBLES.
MANY CHANGES ARE MADE AMONG THE TEAM. (Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND. November 6. The following statement was published this morning in the course of reference to reports of trouble in the ranks of the New Zealand League team in England. "It is understood that the trouble was confined originally to one forward, and that he was subsequently joined by six other players in sym-
pathy. The seven footballers concerned have not played since the first Test Match, consequently they have missed the last six games.” The first Test team at Wigan on October 2, was Gregory, Brown, Davidson, Brisbane, Delgrosso, Desmond, Wilson-Hall, Henry, Carroll, Herring. Mason, Avery, and Mouat. The only one who has not been fielded since then is Mouat. As the trouble is popularly supposed to be confined to southerners, it is interesting to note that Carroll and Henry last played at Bradford on October 20, also Wright and Devine, who were not Test men, while Desmond turned out against Oldham on October 23. Peterson has not played since before the Test but he is understood to have been on the injured list with Singe and Kir-wan (both of Auckland) .
