THRESHING MILL HAND MEETS SUDDEN DEATH.
(Special to the “Star.”) ASHBURTON, November 5. An inquest into the circumstances surrounding the death of Robert Heron, a single man, aged forty-six years, and a returned soldier, who was found dead at Chertsey this morning was held this evening by the Coroner. Mr J. Cow. Evidence was given by Daniel Lynch, threshing mill owner, who employed deceased. He said Heron had not worked for two days, but had not'complained to him of any illness. Charles Cox, a fellow employee of Heron, said he saw deceased this morning walking toward the mill yard gate. He staggered and fell and when witness went to him he was dead. Dr R. A- Bagley, who performed a post mortem examination, said that death had been caused through heart failure due to diseased condition of the heart. A verdict in accordance with the medical testimony was returned.
