PIGEON FLYING CLUB HOLDS ANNUAL RACE.
The Canterbury Pigeon Flying Club held their annual produce race from Kaitoke recently. Only birds rung with 1925 metal rings wv-re allowed to compete. Thirty-six birds were nominated, but, through various causes, only nineteen birds belonging to thirteen owners The birds were liberated by weather, with a northerly wind. The rare proved very successful, the whole of the competing members timing in their birds on the .lay of liberation. The winning bird. No. 6, the property of Mr A. J.
