MOTORISTS HOLD A SPEED TEST.

A speed test for motor-cars and motor-cycles was held this afternoou on Mount Pleasant, under the auspices of the Pioneer Sports Club. There was a good entry. The competitors were required to cover a course of approximately two miles at a rate of thirteen miles an hour. The time allowed was 9miri All competitors put up good performances, that of the winner, G. Lambert, being especially meritorious. The following were the placings:— G. Lambert (Olnin 15 2-ssec), Indian 7-9 j •T. Jessen <9min 11 sec). A..J.S 2 F. P. Sprosen (9min Bsec>. Big X.. 3 The following also registered good i times:—L. A. Franee, W. 11. Haden, T. F.
