THE EVENING CAP.

Nimble-fingered women are busily preparing for themselves chic little evening caps, made entirely of beads. The wealthy women use pearls; the others use something less ambitious The beads are threaded on fine silver wire which can be bent and twisted to take the exact shape of the head; and the caps are composed of crisscross lines of threaded beads forming a sort of trellis-work pattern. Little ear-tabs may be added, from which dangle three or four short chains of beads to caress the white shoulders of their wearer. It is a very dainty mode; newer than the circlet of jewels or the coronet of flowers; lighter than the cap of net or tulle. You can buy these pretty trifles, of course; but it is very much cheaper to make them.
