REV J. PATERSON LAID TO REST AT KARORI. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 23. The funeral of the Rev J. Paterson took place to-day. It was attended by representatives of other denominations and all branches of the community in large numbers. After a short memorial service in St John’s Church the body was conveyed to the Karori Cemetery. Many floral tributes were received testifying to the esteem in which Mr Paterson had been held throughout the Dominion. Dr Gibb delivered a eulogistic address. The pastorate at St John’s had been an inspiration to all, he said. Mr Paterson had lived to see the growth of his work both for the Church and State. He had by his manifold activities contributed greatly to progress.
