“ LILAC TIME ” IS FRAGRANT PLAY.
LARGE CROWDS ATTEND AT THEATRE ROYAL. I Large audiences are being attracted to Theatre Ro}*al by the musical play, “Lilac Time,” which is one of the best that has been seen in the Dominion. It is written around the life of Franz Schubert, the famous composer. It abounds with the music of Schubert, and is cleverly linked up. John Ralston, an actor of great ability, takes the role of Schubert, and he carries it through in a manner that is highly creditable. Adele Crane is adorable as Lili, and scores a distinct success. Claude Flemming gives of his best as the sprightly Baron Franz von Schober, while the lighter side of the play is in the very capable hands of Arthur Stigant. There is a large supporting cast who contribute in no small measure to the success of the production. Lilac Time ” will be repeated to-night.
