MR C. R. ALLEN TRIUMPHS OVER HIS BLINDNESS.

By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, July 21. A wonderful triumph over physical disability’ is represented in the production of three fantasies by’ Mr C. R. Allen, son Sir James Allen, at the Ertlinger Theatre. The playlets displayed marked originality and promising dramatic ability, and were well received by an appreciative audience.

Mr Allen, though blind, helped to plan the scenery and costumes and select the company by touch and by listening to the voices. He attended the rehearsals, moved freely and seemed to know, even see, everything going on. He types all his own manuscripts.
