“STELLA MARIS” SHOWS AT STRAND.

THE ETERNAL TRIANGLE IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT. The new programme at the Strand Theatre is headed by a film entitled “Stella Maris,” in which the popular actress, Mary Philbin, plays the principal role. The story concerns the invalid daughter of a British nobleman who has never walked. Then an operation performed by a famous surgeon effects a cure, and two men who have befriended the invalid suddenly realise that she has grown to womanhood, and that they both love her. The story is one of the eternal triangle dealt with in quite a novel manner. The second attraction is, “ Winner Take All.” an amusing comedy film, starring Buck Jones. The second episode of the serial picture, "The Ace of Spades,” a comedy picture, and a news film are also included in the programme.
