THREE NEW ACTS AT OPERA HOUSE.

BIG RECEPTION FOR CURRENT PROGRAMME. Three new acts opened at the Opera House on Saturday, l and they were accorded a big reception. June Megan, a dainty little miss of eight summers, possessed of a remarkable stage personalia* and charm, showed exceptional ability for one of her tender years. Her impersonations of a“ Johnny, a coster, and a parson in “Sing a Song of Sixpence" brought down the house. It was very clever work. Of no less merit was her impersonation of a country girl singing of the joys and beauties of “Woop-Woop" in preference to the "Brightlights” It was a most enjoyable little act by a versatile little performer. Drew and Romaine presented a singing and patter act which won them much popularity. In a number entitled "In 1931"—a peep into the future—they introduced some topical hits which went very well. The St Leon troupe, a quartet of acrobats, did some remarkably clever balancing feats. The two juveniles proved adepts at turning in the air, and their work was done so cleanly that the audience were applauding them almost incessantly. All three acts will be featured on to-night's bill. Making her first appearance this evening will be Wish Wynne, a wellknown London comedienne. Campbell and Wise, patter and singing artists, will make their final appearance;^Walter Vernon and his pal "Ginger” will give a new ventriloquial act; Maggie Foster will play some fresh melodies on her violin; Hastings and Adair have another musical act ready; and Black and White will demonstrate the latest in the way of eccentric dancing.
