Per Press Association. PALMERSTON NORTH, July 5. “ This is the sort of thing the people of Palmerston North have been complaining of for a long time,” stated Mr Stout. S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court this morning, when a young man .was before him on a charge of motorcyclin gwithout a silencer. “It is time,” his Worship continued, “ that motor-cyclists learned that they can’t go about the streets almost awakening the dead.” The Magistrate imposed a fine of £5. with costs.
