SUNDAY CONCERT.

There was a largo audience at the Liberty Theatre last night, when the St •Cecilia Choir (under the direction of Mr Sidney Williamson) gave a concert in aid of the Returned Soldiers' Association’s Unemployment Fund. A collection, which was taken up. amounted to £lB 17s 4d. The programme was as follows:—Part songs (a), “Fly, Singing Bird, Fly” (Elgar), (b) “ Ave Maria” (Mendelssohn), Miss Marjorie Roach, soloist; (c) "Spinning Chorus” from tho opera “ Flying Dutchman.” Miss Ella Thurlow, soloist; ’cello solo, " Gnomentanz part songs. Ca) “Lullaby " (Brahms), (b) “The Lost Chord” (Sir Arthur Sullivan), arranged by E. N. Anderson; song, “Serenade” (Schubert), Miss Marjorie Roach; air, “Where’er you Walk.” (Handel), Mr Harold Prescott; part songs, (a) “Beauteous Night” (Offenbach), (b) “Annie Laurie,” arranged by Chas. M’Pherson; pianoforte solo, “ Rhapsodie No. 4” (Liszt). Miss Bessie Pollard; part songs (a) “My Old Kentucky Home” (arranged by Stephen Foster), Miss Phyllis Coombs, soloist; (b) “ O Lovely May” (Edward German), (c) “Rataplan” (Rothery). The accompanists were Mrs Harold Prescott and Miss Bessie Pc*’ lard.
