VIOLA DANA AT HER BEST IN THIS COMEDY.
Viola Dana in “ Along Came Ruth ” is delightful. She is recognised as one of the cleverest actresses on the screen to-day, and in this photo-play she is seen to better advantage than in any other production for a considerable time. The wider scope of the picture gives her greater opportunity to display her histrionic ability. It is an engrossing story with a succession of compelling incidents which keep the attention riveted on the screen throughout. It is an excellent produciton with laughs piled one upon another in such a way that one is kept almost in a constant state of uproarious hilarity. “The Dark Swan” features Mar.ie Prevost, the brunette who came into prominence several 3 r ears ago. She is as alluring, as . entrancing and tantalising as ever. It is a good picture, and the role with which the star is entrusted fits her like the proverbial glove. The Liberty Concert Orchestra, under the direction of Mr Ernest Jamieson, plays special musical numbers.
