HE SHOULD HAVE GONE OUT, SAYS MR W. D. LYSNAR.

MR NOSWORTHY HAS BEEN A FAILURE, HE DECLARES. (Special to the “ Star. ”) - {i WELLINGTON, June 24. ‘The Prime Minister has relieved him of his office because I have received complaints from all parts of the Dominion about his administration of the Department of Agriculture. It is difficult to understand why the Premier should relieve him of one office and put him in another.” Mr Lysnar used these words in the House to-day. In one thing, declared Air Lysnar, Air Coates had not done his duty. Instead of appointing the member for Ashburton as Post-master-General and to other portfolios, he should have been relieved of office, because it was only fair to say that Air Nosworthy' had proved himself a failure as Alinister of Agriculture. (Laughter.)) Mr 11. E. Holland: This is where Reformers agree. Mr Lysnar then used the words quoted above. Mr Nos worthy: A bit puzzling, isn’t it? (Laughter.) Mr Lysnar: Yes, and I am not the only one who is puzzled. Mr Nosworthy*: They are puzzled how you got back. (Laughter.) Mr Lysnar: Easier than you, and with a bigger majority. I pity” the Departments under his jurisdiction and am sorry he controls the Tourist Department, because it is impossible to get anything done. A member: Send him to Samoa. Air Nosworthy: I will arrange a trip for you yet. The Gisborne critic heatedly replied that he was not to be bribed by any- 1 thing except a Minister doing his duty to his constituents. “He meant he didn’t want you to come back,” explained a member amid laughter. The Prime Minister, who had come into the House during the discussion, pleasantly assured Mr Lysnar that the Minister in charge of Tourist Resorts had a very” progressive and practical policy. “ I hope it comes to fruition,” said Atr Lysnar, “ but I’ll not waste time to walk across this floor to discuss things with him. I will go to the Prime Minister and trouble him.”
