PUBLIC ASSURED REDS WILL NOT HANDLE FUNDS Mr C. 11. Hewlett, chairman of the finance sub-committee of the Citizens’ Unemployment Committee, referring to the proceedings at yesterday’s meeting of the committee, stated to-day that the committee had absolute confidence in the Trades Hall Committee, but was very determined that it would not allow the Communists to come between the committee and the unemployed. “ The public can rest assured,” said Mr Hewlett, “ that in responding to the appeal on behalf of the unemployed, the Communists will have nothing to do with the matter.”
