BRIDGE PARTY.
At the residence of Dr and Airs D. E. Hansen, a very large bridge party, as pleasurable as it was profitable, was held last night in aid of St Mark’s Open-air School at Opawa. The loyal members of St Alark’s Guild had succeeded in enlisting the sympathy of their friends, who journeyed from all parts of the city to attend the party. The excellent arrangements made by the Guild, and the kindly hospitality of Dr and Airs Hansen made the gathering an unqualified success. For those who did not wish to play bridge tables for “ five hundred ” were provided. Mrs Hansen, who, with her husband, received the guests, wore a handsome gown of black chiffon velvet.
