Boomer and Compston beat Armour and Kirkwood, 3 up and 2. Gadd and Havers beat Mel horn and Watson, 3 up and 2. “E- R. Whitcombe and Jolly beat French and Stein, 3 up and 2.

MATCHES AT SHIRLEY The third round for the captain’s trophy was played at Shirley to-day. Results are:— G. W. Haberfield beat E. T. Shores, 2 and 1. J. H. Early beat B. C. Whitcombe, 3 and 1. M. 11.
