SEVEN-A-SIDE AT TIMARU.

(Special to the Star. ) TIMARU, June 3. A crowd estimated at between 3000 and 4000 people witnessed the South Canterbury Rugby Union s annual seven-a-side tournament, played in Fraser Bark to-day. The weather was ideal. There were 7 2 teams competing, tiously as possible, but the finals in the senior and junior grades were played in semi-darkness. The senior grade was won by Old Bovs after a good contest with Zingari. The winning team R.^StewA. I’St 1 ’St rang, I> Tate and G. V. Gerard. The junior grade was won by High School, who played excellent football throughout the day. Star A won the third grade, Celtic the fourth grade and Temuka the fifth grade.
