SIMPSON—ML ACHL AN. The wedding of Muriel, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. M’Lachlan, of Lin wood, to Robert, eldest son of Mr and Mrs R. W. Simpson, of Mastcrton, was quietly celebrated at St Paul’s Church, Cashel Street, yesterday afternoon. The Rev W. Bower Black performed the ceremony, and Mr Raynor White presided at the organ. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr C. M’Lachlan. Her frock was of ivory georgette, made with a circular skirt which was prettily beaded, and she wore a handsome veil ol Honiton lace, falling from a cap of rucked net. edged with orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. Miss Thelma Newley attended the bride, wearing a frock of coral pink georgette with a long bodice joining the skirt with Vandykes and the skirt being slightly shirred. With this she wore a black satin hat, with rucked crown and pink rose on one side. Her bouquet was of shaded pink flowers. Mr Leslie M’Lachlan carried out the duties of best man. A reception was held at Dixieland, where Mrs M’Lachlan received her guests, wearing a smart navy costume trimmed with touches of gold and feather mount. When the happy couple left for their wedding trip the bride wore a chic navy blue ensemble suit, with collar and cuffs of tiger fur, her hat being of sun-burnt felt. WRIGHT—ELLIS. A wedding was celebrated yesterday at St John’s Church, Latimer Square, when Miss Eva Ellis was married to Mr Alfred Wright, youngest son of Mr and Mrs R. Wright. The Rev J. F. Coursey officiated. The bride, who was given away by her uncle. Mr Pritchard, wore a dainty frock of cream brocaded crepe de chine with an apron panel of French lace. Over this fell a handsome veil of embroidered net which was held in position. with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. Mrs D. Neil, attended as matron of honour, her frock being of cornflour blue flowered ninon, with a wide sash of vari-coloured ribbon and her head dress being of blue tulle to tone, edged with silver ribbon. Her bouquet was of oale pink chrvsanthemums and maidenhair fern. Thelma and Betty Wiltshire attended as flower girls, their dainty petal frocks being of apricot crepe de chine, and they wore bands of silver leaves round their heads and carried baskets of yellow chrysanthemums. Mr Skelton was best man. A reception was held at Dixieland, where Mrs 11. Pritchard, aunt of the bride, received the guests, wearing a smart frock of almond green rep cloth with hat en suite, and a mole fur coat. Mrs R. Wright, mother of the bridegroom, wore a tailored navy costume and black hat, relieved with silver. After the reception the happy couple left for their wedding tour, the bride wearing a smart frock of navy blue cloth, with a pleated panel of saxe blue, and a hat to match. With this she wore a navy rep silk coat with collar and cuff's and flares of skunk fur, NUNWEE K—NORRIE. Miss Gertrude Norrie was married yesterday afternoon to Mr William Cuthbert Nun week. at St John’s Church, Latimer Square. The Rev J. F. Coursey officiated. The bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr Nun week, and the bride the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. T. Norrie. The bride was given away by her father. Her beautiful veil was caught at either side of her head with a cluster of orange blossom, and fell in graceful folds over a gown of ivory crepe de chine, with godets of lace in-let on the skirt, and finished with a pearl ornament at each side. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. Miss Irene Norrie. sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid. Her pretty frock was of shell pink brocaded crepe de chine, with sleeves and panels of georgette. Her hat was of black tulle, trimmed with hand-made pink flowers, and she carried a bouquet of mauve and pink flowers. Little Phyllis Norrie, a cousin of the bride, was flower girl, and wore a dainty frock of mauve silk with touches of pink, and carried a posy of pink flowers. Mr Harry Proofing attended the bridegroom as best man.
