Ihe lobbyist of the “ Daily Express” suggests that unless Zaghlul’s demands are reasonable there may be a complete modification of the independence granted Egypt in February, 1922. Zaghlul did not accept the four reservations m that grant. If he decides to take oifice himself the position will he one of concern to Britain, which to-day sent new instructions to the Commissioner to bring under Zaghlul’s notice the conditions entailed by independence and to inform him that the future depends on whether or not he is more amenable. ! t \i° b S yist R ays that at the moment the Government has no evidence ot any change in Zaghlul’s anti-British
