Acknowledgments of conscience money in Britain by the Board of Inland Revenue are frequent enough; but it is very rarely that so large an amount is in question as was set forth recently in the usual newspaper notice. The amount of which the board acknowledged receipt was £993 13s, and it came from “Stony.”
