BUILDERS’ ASSOCIATION.
The Canterbury Builders’ Association met last evening. .Mr G. L. Bull, president. was in the chair, and thirty-five members attended. The secretary of the New South Wales Master Builders’ Association wrote stating that members of that association had suffered through proprietors failing to pay the balance of contract sums on completion of contracts, and asking if there was an Act in New Zealand protecting builders; if not, whether there was an arrangement to ensure a builder receiving payment on completion of his The secretary was instructed to send a copy of conditions of contract and to supply any further information available.
