LOST DOGS.
To the Editor. Sir, —It is penny wise and pound foolish to exact board as well as 10s collar money for lost dogs. In a year or two the collar money would fully make up the difference. A dog lives ten years on an average and there is your £5 for the council. Take up a street collection for the lost dogs' home—it would meet a ready response.—l am, etc., FIDO.
