On Tuesday evening, at the Winter Garden, Manuel Hyman and his band will revisit Christchurch and one dance only will be given. During the evening special prizes will be given for the best riancers. Tickets are available at the Bristol. One of the earliest settlers in Canterbury-, Mr Samuel E. Boyce, died at Ashburton recently. Mr Boyce came to New Zealand in 1867, and spent his aif f ar nring and general rural work. About seventeen years ago he retired, taking up his residence at Ashburton, where he lived until the time of his death.
