WOULDST DANCE THE CHARLESTON?

This is how one obliging, even if humorous, Charleston dancer at the Glaciarium explained how the dance should be done, says the Sydney “Sunday Times” :■»- “ The gent gets a hall-hitch around partner’s neck with right arm. Lady does double flip-flip and lands on left elbow, racing five steps on same. Gent goes to dress-ing-room to consult his flask, and returns, catching lady by left ear and tossing her for a loop-the-loop. Lady lands on hands, runs backwards fifteen steps on hands. Gent knocks his knees together fifteen times.. Lady jumps up in the air with both feet, and remains there while gent goes out for a cigarette. Gent returns, grabs lady by left foot, whirls her around his head, and tosses her through the window into an alcove next door. The orchestra stops.
