PHILIPSON TENT 1.0. RECHABITES.

——.— The Philipson Tent celebrated its 15th anniversary on Thursday evening in the Sydenham Football Hall, Lawson Street, when there were present over 200 members and friends. The hall was tastefully decorated by the Sisters of the Tent. A song in character competition was held during the evening and resulted as follows: Esmae Evans and Ronald Foster, (equal) 1, Melva Carter 3. Mrs Stallard and Sister Jean Murchie gave every satisfaction as judges. Joan Hughes gave a recitation for which she was encored. Congratulatory speeches were given by Brother C. H.’Bascand, P.P.C.R., District Levite, apd Brother J. Smith, Provincial Chief Ruler. Brother Martin, Secretary, presented a Past Chief Ruler"s Collar to Sister M. Abbott in recognition of the capable manner in which she carried out her duties as Chief Ruler of the Ttnt.. The annual report stated that the Tent had increased its membership, also that the sickness had decreased during the year, and that the Tent was in a sound position in every way. The Sisters of the Tent handed round refreshments during the evening which were very satisfactory. Bro. Judkins’s orchestra supplied music for the dancing which was continued till midnight, and Brothers J. Tootell and J. Bayliss made efficient M. Cs. (,
