INDIAN HOCKEY PLAYERS DO NOT PAY £lO A HEAD ON ARRIVAL
(Special to t;he "Star.”) WELLINGTON. April 24. The team of Indian Army hockey players is to arrive in Auckland on May 11. The Christchurch statement that they must give £lO deposit on landing is not exactly in line with facts. The New Zealand Hockey Association has been officially informed that if it provides a bond of £IOO, with one surety, this will meet the requirements. The procedure is exactly what is followed in all cases of persons not of European race who temporarily visit New Zealand. Their deposit is returned on departure.
