CYCLE RACING.
MAIREHAU CLUB. The Mairehau Sports Club held a 13mile road race at Mairehau this afternoon, twenty-five riders starting. A very close finish resulted as follows: D. E. Speirs (hdcp lmin), time 33min 2 3 sec 1 G. G. Chapman (3imin), 35min 53 L. Pither (28min), 38min 8 2-6 sec. .. 3 A. J. Archer (2mln), 34min 23 3-6 sec. 4 The fastest time was registered by A. Leathern (scr), who covered the distance in 33min 21sec.
