from Europe to America, are two people destined to meet and play out an interesting drama of life. One has crowded his days with every delight the gav capitals of the Continent could offer, and is returning home, prematurely aged to die. The other, a girl, glorious in her youth and beauty, is the leader of a smart, jazzy set making the trip. The supporting feature is the Master Special, "The Mailman” in which the veteran screen actor Ralph Lewis takes the leading role and plays the greatest part in his career. Thrown overboard in mid-ocean, along with a satchel full of United States bonds —left t.q drown in the Pacific while the bundle of swag, with automatic flare attached, is to be picked up by a rum runner that was the trouble in which Johnnie Walker found himself in in "The Mail Xian.” But the trouble had only started. The worst was. yet to come. Johnnie hangs to the floating satchel which contains the valuable papers which, he. as the mail clerk aboard the s.s. Enterprise, had been left to guard. The rum runner, seeing the flare, picks up the floating package and Johnnie with it. To avoid a violent death, the boy. pretends to be an accomplice in the crime and is congratulated by the conspirators for the daring robbery. The Pacific fleet catches sight of the rum runner, plants a shot across its bow, and captures, not only the conspirators, but Johnnie-as well, arresting him for robbery and murder. How the unfortunate mail clerk gets out "of the difficulty forms the basis of a gripping drama.
