The scores were so even that the match depended on which side could win the final stroke. However, on this occasion our members were decidedly unfortunate, the match being won by the Edgeware Club B team.

LOYAL BENEVOLENT LODGE. The Loyal Benevolent Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F.,. held its quarterly meeting last Monday night, N.G. Brother Geary presiding over a good attendance. A motion of sympathy was passed and conveyed to P.G. Brother G. T. Ilillsdon and family by the N.G. The lodge went into committee to consider tenders, etc., for the new lodge room. On the lodge resuming the N.G. reported > that the lodge had decided to endorse the building committee’s recommendations and had also given a guarantee for five years to meet any possible deficit. A funeral claim of £2O was passed for payment. Four candidates were proposed for membership. The remits for the annual district conference to be held on March 12 were received. After considerable discussion, the delegates were given a free hand as to how to vote on the remits. P.G.’s Brothers G. T. Hillsdon, W. B. Browne and N.G. Brother Geary were appointed delegates to the district conference. Discussion on the B.M.C. remits were left over until next lodge night.
