Dor days are coming (writes a Hollywood correspondent). If theatre patrons weary of Gloria and Pola and Norma and Mary and Valentino and Doug and other stars, they will have an opportunity to find entertainment ottered by animals which arc admittedly "'beautiful but dumb.” A regular deluge of plays featuring the canine actors is on the way Rin Tin Tin is just completing "The Night Crv" at Warner Brothers studio, and soon will siart on " The Hero of the Big Snows.” begun work in a series of eight pictures- for Howard Estabrook. the first of which will be ‘‘NorthStar." This famous dog has Ijeen seen but little the past year or so because «»f business misunderstandings with his owner and the absence of a qualified director. Strongheart takes direction in German Pat, the remarkable bulldog owned by Harry Lucenav. has just competed a role in one of the ‘‘Helen and Warren" series, produced to Fox, “Cheaper to Move.” while Cameo is to l>e starred in a series produced by his master. Hap Ward. A new dog. Buddy, is playing a featured role in “The light Eternal” at the Metro lot. Colleen Moore is working in “Irene” with a cunning brown Chow pup. Blanche Sweet carries a brown Pomeranian in “The Far Cry.” Joan ‘‘rawford. who is supporting Harry Langdon in his firs' comedy for First National, has a bullpup, and Anna Q. Nilsson is to sport a coachdog in her forthcoming •production of “The Second Chance.”
