AT one of the loveliest golf courses in the world, St Anne's-on-the-Sea, in Lancashire, the open golf championship of Great Britain will be begun in June. French, German, Spanish, Canadian, American, English, and Australian champions will compete. Veteran
St A.nne',-on-the-S.a is shown nesr ths popular seaside resort of Blackpool. John Ball put up the course record, 70, and it has only been equalled twice since then. Brilliancy is a fine quality to possess on these links, but consistency counts even more. St Anne’s is the centre of a wonderful group of courses which include famous Hoylake and Formby.
