GREATER MOVIE SEASON Do you want a grand tour of Australia or of New Zealand, with all expenses paid? Would you enjoy seeing in comfort the Jenolan Caves, Kosciusko, Tweed Heads, Mt Buffalo, or Tasmania? Or perhaps you would rather visit Auckland, Rotorua, Wairakei, the Wanganui River, or Mt Cook in New Zealand? If you are a regular reader of this newspaper or a patron of a motion picture theatre that will celebrate Paramount’s greater movie season during March you are eligible to compete for such a grand tour'. Either of the tours of Australia or New Zealand will be awarded to the winner of the best essay on this subject : “WHAT THE MOTION PICTURE MEANS TO OUR COMMUNITY.” This newspaper has been selected by Paramount Pictures to conduct the contest exclusively in this district in co-operation with motion picture theatres that will be celebrating the greater movie season during March. Here arc the rules:— Essay must not exceed 2-30 words. Essays must be addressed to the Movie Editor, care of this newspaper. Contest • opens March 1 and closes March 20. Every essay must be accompanied by application form (properly filled out) from the columns of this newspaper or from any motion picture theatre celebrating the Paramount greater movie season. The Movie Editor will adjudge the best three essays submitted to him and then forward them in turn to Paramount Pictures’ head office in Sydney, where final adjudging of the one best essay from Australia and New Zealand will be done. Should a woman win the grand prize, expenses of a travelling companion will also be paid.
