CHRISTCHURCH. (Before Messrs P. L Davies and H. F. Herbert, J.P.'s.) DRUNKENNESS. Two first offenders were fined 20s. Charles Stewart, a second offender, was fined 40s and costs J. Prat ten was fine.d 10s and costs, and f’>r a breach of his prohibition ordei 40s and costs. REMANDED Harold Ilogwood. a cleHc. eighteen years cf age. was charged with unlawfully converting to his own use a mo-tor-car valued at £2OO, the property of Philip J. de la Cour. On the application of the Chief Detective. a remand was granted till tomorrow morning. ALLEGED FRAUD. Robert G. Smyth was charged with having obtained credit by means of fraud from the firm of Macky, Logan and Co. Tn asking for a remand till February 19 Chief-Detective Gibson said there were a number of charges pending against accused.
