COURSING.

At the annual meeting of the Christchurch Coursing Club, it was reported that the club had made an excellent recovery. The report and balancesheet showed that debts amounting to £IOO had ben cleared off during the year, and that a credit bank balance had been established. Officers were elected as follows; — President, Mr G. Ryan; treasurer, Mr G. Exton; secretary, Mr A. Candy; judge, Mr J. Tonkinson; slipper, Mr J. G. Stringer; honorary veterinary surgeon, Mr 11. S. S. Kyle, M.P-; delegate to the N.C.A. of New Zealand, Mr E. Price. After the business of the meeting was over, the largest gathering that the above club had since it was founded adjourned to a smoke concert, which was a great success. The club hopes to make an early start this year, and all going well, should have another most successful season,-
