A friend of Mussolini’s has been giving him a boost, a Fascist energetic and a colleague loyal quite, when asked why old Benito has b£en ruling long the roost, ” He is the doctor.” he replied, ”to put our country right.” Oh Italy has since the war been very, very ill, and Socialistic medicine she’s tried without avail, for she was nearly poisoned by a Communistic pill, and Doc. Orlando’s patent dope still left her weak and pale. Then Mussolini came along her maladies to foil, and undertook her treatment with a self-assurance great; said he, “ I’ll give her first a dose of Fascist castor oil, for ‘ treat ’em rough ’ my method is, and then I’ll operate.” The patient’s still in hospital, and Mussolini now is fussing round the bedside in his surgeon's jacket black, and all the patient’s relatives are starting to avow that this expensive specialist is nothing but a quack.
