PLUNKET SOCIETY MAKES A MOVE. Fer Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 3. Seeking to bring about a chair of Child Welfare, the Plunket Society decided this morning to confer with the Otago University Council to go into the matter of the establishment of a chair connected with the medical school. A remit was carried that the Government should be asked to place the Plunket Societies upon the same footing as friendly societies regarding the exemption of stamp duties an receipts and cheques.
