WEDDINGS.

1 WARREN—HAY. A pretty wedding took place yesterday afternoon at St Mary’s Church, Timaru. which had been decorated by the girls friends of the bride, when Miss .lean Hay, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs IT. W. Hay, Sealey Street. Timaru. was married by the Rev G. V. Gerard to Mr Maurice B. Warren, eldest son of Mr and Mrs F. M. Warren, "Waipuna,” Riccarton. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful frock of silver brocade. The front of the skirt was covered with Van dyked puffs of ivory georgette, caught with shell pink rosebuds. The long white lacc train was. lined with georgette to tone, and the embroidered tulle veil was caught, at each side with orange blossom. Her shoes and stockings were of silver tissue, and she carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. The bridesmaids, Misses Rosamund Wood and Dora Warren (Christchurch) wore flame coloured knife pleated georgette frocks with beige coloured lace yokes and flounces, and narrow tri-coloured bands round their heads with a small rose h.t one side to match their bouquets of Edward Jleriot and Queen Alexandra roses. Mr Lionel Cooke (Christchurch) was best man, and Mr Ralph Bcadel (Christchurch) groomsAfter the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, which was artistically decorated with pale pink peonies and roses. Mrs Hay, who received the guests, wore a beige silk frock, caught at the waist with a little spray of pink flowers, and a small dark brown hat with motif of shaded flowers. She carried a bou,quet to match the hat. Mrs F. M. Warren (mother of the bridegroom) was in a black embroidered georgette frock with narrow gold front panel, and a black hat with a large peony. Mrs Bruce Murray wore a flora! knife pleated crepe de chine frock, edged with bapds of black satin, and a small black hat. Mrs Maurice Johnston's frock was of burnt sienna handpainted chiffon, and her picture hat of crionline straw. Mrs Harold Wright wore a grey braided gabardine coat frock, and a grey georgette hat. Miss Trixie Warren (Wellington) was in a black and white French frock and a small black hat; Miss Molly Murray, floral ninon, black crinoline straw hat with a rose coloured rose; Miss L. Cartwright, navy blue and red georgette, red Bankok hat; Miss Brenda Newman, pale grey georgette printed with apricot coloured roses, grey picture hat with apficot feather; Miss Alice Evans, powder blue georgette beaded in white, heliotrope hat. Others present were: Mr and Mrs Harman Warren, Mr and Mrs Maurice Johnstone, Mr and Mrs J. Clarkson (Christchurch), Mrs M. A. Downes, Miss A. Downes (Dunedin), Mrs and Miss Corson, Mrs Wensley Clarkson (Oamaru), Mr and Mrs A. T. Nicoll (Ashburton), Mr and Mrs David Christie (Methven), Mr and Mrs Mulligan (Maronan), Miss Noel Storey (Wyndham), Miss Nancy Wright (Levin), Miss Mona M'Rae (Waikari), Miss M. Hay (Auckland) ; Messrs Bruce and Gerald Murray, Downes, Roberts, J. Tori esse, M. Raymond, G. Donald, Neville Le Cren (Christchurch), and the Rev G. V. Gerard and Mrs Gerard. Later in the afternoon Mr and Mrs Maurice Warren left Con their wedding tour by car. Mrs Warren wore a gendarme blue georgette ensemble frock, with button trimming and coffee coloured lacc collar and cuffs, and a lace hat with a pink rose.
