The Karoola has been further delayed at Fremantle, the men refusing to Sign on under the conditions offered by the owners. MATAKANA SAILS WITH MAORI CREW. [ Per Press Association. A ICELAND, November 20. **• The Matakana. manned by a volunteer crew, mostly Maoris, left for Wellington last evening to complete loading for London. On the wharf were a number of former members of Ibe crew, who went on strike, but beyond a few. remarks showing their displeasure, there was no demonstration. When the ship had drawn several feet away from the wharf, a Maori pushed his way through the crowd and scrambled up a rope banging 'over the side. Ho was followed a couple of minutes later by a European, who rushed on to the wharf and made a hazardous leap. He managed to grab a rope and was hauled on board.
