FOREIGN BUYERS KEEN AT NAPIER WOOL SALE.
.Per Press Association. NAPIER, November *2O. I The fir.A Hawke's Bay wool sale of the current season was opened this morning. There was a full bench ot buyers, but the English representatives were very quiet. Wellington prices were maintained, but not eclipsed, and there were occasional instances of a slight decline. The bidding was consistent but rarely vigorous. the ugh it became brisk in spasms when American or Continental concerns competed. France, Italy and the United States did most of the buying, the Americans taking good crossbreds up to 3 Bid and halfbred to 19RL Pieces, necks and bellies were keenly sought by Continental representatives, the prices ranging to 13d for pieces n’vl necks and '.lOd for bellies. First lambs brought 15(1 to 16d, .crutcbings 7Ad to Sd. The offering for disposal was not large, 12,000 bales being subm i t ted.
